Cornerstone is seeking a Party Chief to join our team. This position will be primarily responsible for communicating with the Project Manager and/or Field Operations Lead and client field representative; Understanding the needs of the project and collecting field survey data required for the project; Supervises field survey personnel.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk long distances while carrying equipment, sometimes through rugged terrain, mud, or swamp; drive and/or ride in a boat; sit; balance, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds; use hands to operate, handle, maneuver and/or manipulate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; use manual dexterity to operate equipment; talk and hear; Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel Requirements: Site visits required.
Essential Functions:
- Gather project requirements from project manager and field operations lead.
- Communicate project requirements to field team
- Complete daily job safety analysis form
- Conduct daily tailgate safety meetings
- Ensure field crew has necessary equipment and supplies to fulfill project requirements
- Inspect assigned equipment to ensure proper working conditions prior to use. Schedule routine maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Coordinate field work schedule based on project requirements
- Direct assigned field associates on daily assignments
- Compile notes, sketches, and records of survey data obtained
- Communicate findings of field survey with project team
- Track assigned field team associates’ work hours and complete timesheets
- Train assigned field associates on survey
- Report incidents to the appropriate personnel
- Complete incident report as required
- Monitor work conditions and responsibly use stop work authority
Requirements:
- A high school diploma OR its equivalent plus three to five years related work
- Ability to operate electronic distance measuring equipment and other surveying instruments, boats, airboats, GPS, all-terrain vehicles, and other equipment necessary to obtain survey data.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent interpersonal communication
- Strong Written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
