Cornerstone is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to join our team.
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Lafayette, LA

Travel Requirements: Occasionally site visits required.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys
- Prepare and review survey plats, legal descriptions, and reports.
- Perform and oversee field data collection and ensure accuracy of measurements
- Manage multiple surveying projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Review and approve survey documents and ensure compliance with state and local regulations in Louisiana and Texas.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, and government agencies.
- Utilize modern surveying equipment and software, including GPS, total stations, and CAD programs.
- Maintain and enforce safety standards and procedures on all projects.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to field and office survey teams.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional surveying experience, with experience managing projects in Louisiana and Texas.
- Proficiency in survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and GIS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of state land survey laws, standards, and procedures for both states
- Experience with GPS, robotic total stations, and other advanced survey technologies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Strong Written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with oil & gas, transportation, or utility corridor projects.
- Familiarity with coastal and wetland surveying regulations in Louisiana.
- Knowledge of subdivision platting, title surveys, and easement documentation
