Senior Tableau Developer
Job Summary
The Senior Tableau Developer will collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to deliver insights from data, conduct financial analyses, and support decision-making processes. Responsibilities include providing financial analysis for actual vs. planned performance, trend analyses, annual financial planning, and other ad-hoc financial requests. A significant focus will be on evaluating the results of operational initiative tests using tools such as APT Test and Learn, SQL, and Tableau dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex data to produce actionable insights using clear visualizations and narratives.
- Serve as the primary analytics contact for Finance and Operations, ensuring efficient execution of initiatives and alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate across departments within a corporate environment to establish strategic priorities and deliver quality analytics insights.
- Manage multiple projects with varying deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
- Leverage Tableau’s advanced analytics features to create optimized dashboards.
- Partner with data warehouse teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard issues and data discrepancies effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field is required.
- At least 5 years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Cloud. Experience in restaurant operations is a plus.
- Expertise in Advanced SQL, Excel, APIs, cloud databases (AWS, Azure), scripting languages (Python, R, JavaScript), and BI tools (Power BI, Qlik).
- Certification as a Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Professional.
- Proven ability to visualize data and create actionable reports through strong storytelling and business acumen.
- Experience in financial forecasting, data science, statistics, and informing business strategy.
- A self-starter attitude capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to tailor presentations to different audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders, senior leadership, and team members.
