IT Business Analyst
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Work Setting: Hybrid (4 days in office)
The IT Business Analyst will support the Collections and Remarketing teams, including Active Collections, Recovery, Exceptions, Strategy, and Soft Collections. This role involves data analysis, report generation, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Develop and maintain recurring production reports and ad hoc reports.
- Analyze business results to identify trends, correlations, and potential issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform Datamart testing and validation to ensure data integrity.
Quality Control
- Review and validate internal reports for accuracy, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Publish reports to stakeholders in compliance with SLAs and requirements.
- Ensure data consistency and integrity across all reports.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
- Work with leadership, business teams, and data stakeholders to define reporting needs.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications (e.g., dimensions, filters, calculations, metrics, and layout).
- Maintain key internal documentation, including department roster history, vendor KPIs, and Dialer metrics.
Customer & Project Support
- Respond to customer requests for ad hoc and recurring reports, prioritizing deliverables effectively.
- Participate in project meetings, offering insights, technical expertise, and analysis.
Business Process Optimization
- Provide consulting to business partners by identifying trends, exceptions, and potential solutions.
- Improve efficiency by automating manually generated reports using tools like SAS, Cognos, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Optimize reporting processes by reducing redundancies, refining report execution times, and enhancing data visualization.
Qualifications & Skills
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Cognos, MS Access, and SAS.
- Strong SQL and query creation experience (SQL, Cognos Report Studio, SAS, Python, Access, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL Workbench, and data visualization tools.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with forecasting and hypothesis testing.
Soft Skills & Other Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
