About the Role
CornerStone Staffing's Technology Talent Services division is partnering with a nationally recognized leader in health and lifestyle benefit solutions to identify a high-impact Vice President of Information Technology. This executive role will shape and lead the technology roadmap for a well-established organization that continues to grow through innovation, client trust, and operational excellence.
The VP of IT will oversee all enterprise technology functions—including infrastructure, product development, cybersecurity, governance, and IT operations—while driving a digital strategy that supports business agility, scalability, and modernization. The position offers the opportunity to build and lead an accountable, cross-functional technology team while implementing a hybrid, cloud-forward architecture focused on long-term sustainability.
Core Responsibilities
Technology Strategy and Leadership
- Define and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with corporate goals and growth plans
- Lead and develop high-performing teams in infrastructure, software development, systems administration, and security
- Collaborate closely with the C-suite to identify and execute technology solutions that drive business value
- Build a culture of execution, clarity, and innovation across internal and vendor teams
Software and Digital Product Oversight
- Oversee internal and outsourced software teams responsible for delivering web-based platforms, mobile applications, and internal business tools
- Establish modern development frameworks and drive Agile transformation through scalable methodologies
- Ensure digital products are intuitive, secure, and capable of supporting both customer-facing and operational needs
- Manage the full development lifecycle with a focus on quality, efficiency, and delivery
Cybersecurity and Compliance
- Lead company-wide security strategy, including risk assessments, incident response, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain current frameworks and controls to meet or exceed standards such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and GDPR
- Stay proactive in identifying threats and implementing mitigation strategies across all technology assets
Infrastructure and DevOps
- Maintain stable and secure hybrid infrastructure across cloud (Azure) and on-premise systems
- Drive continuous improvement through CI/CD implementation and DevOps best practices
- Ensure that systems architecture supports performance, scalability, and business continuity
IT Operations and Cost Efficiency
- Manage enterprise software procurement, licensing, and vendor relationships to support cost-effective operations
- Consolidate tools and platforms to eliminate redundancy and align IT spend with strategic priorities
- Provide transparency in IT budgeting and identify opportunities for reinvestment in high-impact technologies
Ideal Experience and Skills
- 10 years of progressive IT leadership with direct experience across development, infrastructure, security, and governance
- Proven success leading hybrid environments, including Azure cloud architecture and scalable infrastructure
- Agile transformation leadership; SAFe or related Agile frameworks preferred
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise IT governance
- Strong executive presence with demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or Azure Architect are a plus
- Comfortable operating in a high-accountability, mid-sized business environment where innovation, execution, and stability must coexist
