Responsibilities
- Operate various types of trucks including roll-off, dump, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with your driving partner to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and hours driven.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with customers through professional interactions during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a truck driver with knowledge of various truck types including roll-off, dump trucks, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations in the trucking industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
