Qualifications
The Associate Librarian is a full-time, onsite role serving in the Miller Library as an experienced librarian including conducting research, serving as a liaison with academics, and leveraging various library databases and tools for the benefit of the university, both digital and print. This role applies their master's degree in library science in ways that are forward-thinking, anticipating the implications for library resources and methods based on the emerging university strategy. The core of Cornerstone University is defined and driven by its Christ-centered mission and Biblical confession.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Associate Librarian serves as a back-up to the Library Director in overseeing the library and may supervise other employees and / or student employees.
- Order, Receive, manage invoices for all items in the catalogued collection
- Order all necessary library supplies
- Maintain the accounts in Sierra Acquisition system, including entering, posting
- Maintain vendor records in Sierra Acquisition system
- Prepare invoices and deposits for Business Office
- Assist the Library Director in preparing the annual budget
- Maintain Sierra statistics
- Report to external agencies with statistical data
- All Cornerstone University employees will regularly interact with students in a variety of projects, activities, and settings. As such all employees are expected to serve as Christian leaders and mentors by effectively living a gospel-centered lifestyle, ministering and discipling through a biblical worldview.
