What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment Counselor, CU Online & Seminary position at Cornerstone University?
This full time Enrollment Counselor role is responsible for acting as the first point of contact for prospective students interested in pursuing an online undergraduate or graduate degree at Cornerstone University and also degrees offered at the Cornerstone Theological Seminary. This position primarily interacts with students via telephone, email, texting, and occasional in-person or virtual meetings. The core of Cornerstone University is defined and driven by its Christ-centered mission and Biblical confession.
REPORTS TO : Assistant Director of Admissions
LOCATION : Grand Rapids, Michigan
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Represent Cornerstone University in a Christ-like, professional manner to prospective students interested in pursuing a degree while consistently exhibiting enthusiasm toward the institution
- Balance a high volume of daily outbound calls to prospective student leads provided while following prescribed contact strategies, and documents all points of contact in the CRM
- Manage a high volume of inbound emails and texts from prospective students and applicants
- Communicate regularly with applied students about their admissions file, financial aid paperwork, and other resources via phone, email, text messaging and student appointments (in-person and / or virtual)
- Meet individual and team new student enrollment activity goals
- Provide accurate and comprehensive degree program options to prospective students so they can make informed decisions
- Provide prospective students with a high level of customer service through effective communication and follow up techniques
- Seek to earn referrals that reflect the valuable service provided
- Occasionally conduct individual and group presentations to disseminate approved program information
- Utilize critical thinking and problem solving skills to uncover and resolve concerns
- During the admissions process, assist prospective students by connecting them with appropriate campus departments and resources (ex; student financial services)
- All Cornerstone University and WCSG employees will regularly interact with students in a variety of projects, activities, and settings. As such all employees are expected to serve as Christian leaders and mentors by effectively living a gospel-centered lifestyle, ministering and discipling through a biblical worldview.
