What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst position at Cornhusker Bank?
The Credit Analyst provides an independent analysis of all credit documentation of customers and prospects financial condition as it relates to their ability to repay existing and proposed debt in a timely manner. Including analyzing financial statements and periodic review of credit quality. Analysis includes cash flow, including global cash flow and collateral analysis. Guide the relationship manager and loan assistants and assist as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Prepare Credit Actions for existing and proposed credits and assist Relationship Managers/Loan Officers with their preparation of Credit Actions
Perform financial analysis on balance sheets, income statement, and statement of cash flow in order to determine overall creditworthiness, level of financial strength and ability to repay
Prepare a report summary of credit actions and past due reports
Identify problems in credit trends and recommend enhancements to loan terms, conditions and controls, as well as charge-offs and rating adjustments
Present findings at Loan Committee meetings and participate in discussions
Investigate all available sources of credit and financial information, including but not limited to credit reporting services, trade associations and financial statements. Develop credit information for use by lending officers
Provide incremental monitoring on larger, more complex, problem and specialized credits
Order and review appraisals and environmental reports for real estate secured loans and complete real estate evaluations as appropriate
Understand, implement, review Cornhusker Bank Lending policy and Appraisal policy on an on-going basis
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in completion of Watch List Report, quarterly Board reports, and others as assigned
Review quarterly Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses Summary Analysis and provide updated information regarding Environmental Factors
Participates in community organizations, activities and projects
Performs other reasonable duties as assigned
