Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination of construction activities and daily operations at the job site
- Help ensure that safety protocols and guidelines are followed at all times
- Support site superintendents and project managers with documentation, including daily reports, logs, and schedules
- Participate in quality control inspections to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications
- Observe and learn about project timelines, budget management, and resource allocation
- Communicate effectively with field teams to ensure smooth operations
- Perform other tasks as needed to support the construction team and project progress
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a college program (preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field)
- Strong interest in the construction industry and project management
- Ability to work outdoors and in physically demanding environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new tasks
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the spot
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and techniques is a plus but not required
- Transportation to both the project site and the main office
- Work 10-12 weeks, 40 hours/week
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with construction safety practices
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Bluebeam, etc.) and project management software
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings
