Our Optical Communications segment delivers connectivity to every edge of the network. Since ushering in the telecommunications revolution with the invention of low-loss optical fiber in 1970, this business has continually innovated to increase the speed and capacity of optical networks. Today, we are enabling the network densification and integrated solutions necessary for 5G, while continuing to innovate for rapidly evolving applications, such as fiber to the home, hyperscale data centers, and in-building networks.
The BRiTE (Broad. Relevant. Tangible. Experience.) Program provides new graduates with the unique opportunity to gain hands-on, broad commercial experience by completing four rotations across various business functions. Each rotation is intentionally designed and includes commercial project work, experiential learning, mentoring relationships and leadership development opportunities in the following areas:
- Sales (Inside Sales and Field Sales)
- Marketing and Market Development
- Engineering & Customer Experience
- Product Line Management
Participants will gain valuable experience working alongside mentors on real-life projects, develop critical skills to jump-start their careers, and build a network by collaborating with company leaders and teams across the organization.
Required Experience and Skills:
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Bachelor’s Degree in the following fields:
- Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical, Telecom Industry, e.g. Network Eng., Computer Science, Information Management, Optical Science and Eng.)
- Marketing/Communications, Business Administration, Sciences
- Graduation date of December 2022 or May 2023
- Ability to articulate interest in working in commercial roles such as sales, marketing, sales support, field engineering, product marketing and/or product management functions
