Scope of Position:
- This role will provide support for day-to-day manufacturing operations by making improvements to production equipment including packaging systems, robotics, logic controllers, power distribution, safety devices, & sensors.
- This position will assist in the design, fabrication, and installation of machine guarding along with helping in Lean initiatives.

- Standard business hours; Monday – Friday.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Required Years and Area of Experience:
- 1-3 years relevant engineering or fabrication experience.
- Prior intern or co-op experience will be considered.
Required Skills:
- Ability to take initiative and be resourceful to take action to resolve complex issues.
- Experience with CNC router, CNC mill, manual mill, manual lathe, 3D printer, and other fabricating tools.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Work with engineers to modify production equipment to meet safety standards and production quantity goals.
- Learn and implement machine guarding standards.
- Operate CNC router, CNC mill, manual mill, manual lathe, 3D printer, and other fabricating tools.
- Design and fabricate parts, fixtures, and tables for production.
- Assist in maintaining risk assessments and other documentation.
- Daily engagement with shop floor to trouble shoot and problem solve with operations team.
- Using SolidWorks design guarding, create CNC tool paths, and create engineering drawings.
- Assist with assembly of new automation systems.
- Assist with the Lean (Performance Excellence) program and work on waste elimination projects that achieve reduced labor, increased capacity, decreased cycle time, and reduction of material scrap.
- Maintain clean and safe work and shop areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Education:
- Associates degree or enrollment in Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related program.
Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:
- Hands-on experience and electrical/automation troubleshooting experience outside of the classroom.
- Proficiency with Solidworks software.
- Proficiency wit AutoCAD.
- Experience with servos.
- Robot and vision system experience.
- Familiar with Six Sigma / Lean concepts.

The range for this position is $26.50 hourly rate - $29.88 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
