We are seeking a highly motivated Resident Services Coordinator who will:
Work under the direction of the Regional Program Supervisor, by providing a positive environment that allows for residents’ personal, social, and intellectual development.
Empower low-income individuals and families to thrive by providing education and resources.
Ensure our residents, specifically older adults to have an opportunity to thrive in place through our services.
Maximize the strengths of individuals by providing client assistance, service coordination, and conducting community outreach.
Additional duties will include:
Empowering children from low-income and underserved families to thrive by providing After School education and resources.
Developing a comprehensive understanding of residents (conduct needs assessments, community meetings, surveys, etc.) to offer residents appropriate services and resources.
Planning and coordinating special services, events, and activities for residents as requested.

This position will perform a variety of duties involved in developing and implementing a resident program focusing on resident self-actualization and empowerment.
Essential Functions:
- Assists students with homework assignments and make-up work, etc.
- Assists in creating, organizing, and instructing a recreation program for youth, adults, and seniors, including arts and crafts, and special interest activities.
- Engages in recreational activities to include active and passive participants.
- Offers instructional assistance, classes, workshops, and presentations to promote growth and development for all residents (e.g. computer literacy classes, employment/resume workshops; college information and preparation guidance).
- Plans and coordinates special services and activities for residents as requested.
- Communicates and enforces procedures to students for the purpose of ensuring their understanding and the potential consequences of violation.
- Provides residents with up-to-date information on services.
- Maintains community room equipment, work area, student/resident records, and attendance records.
- Community Room maintenance includes (but is not limited to); wiping down all surface areas at the end of shift; disposing of litter left behind; maintain clean and organized materials and work space.
- Monitors individual students, community room, recreational activities, etc. for the purpose of ensuring a safe and positive environment.
- Reports observations and incidents (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate personnel.
- May supervise part-time volunteers in absence of supervisor.
- Maintains a good working relationship with property management staff
- Submits monthly check requests and maintain records/documentation/receipts of monies spent.
- Submits End of Day (EOD) email at the end of every shift, detailing the day's activities and attendance
- Full time position requires traveling to second location.
Qualifications:
* Must commit to working for a minimum of one year (preferable)
* Knowledge (or willingness to acquire knowledge of) lesson plans and children's programming, preferred.
* Ability to perform non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
* Ability to work well with children, adults, and senior citizens
* Knowledge of basic math and English writing/literature for grades K-12
* Ability to assist in developing, coordinating, and directing/scheduling varied activities involved in an after school program.
* Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and residents.
* Ability to follow verbal and or written instruction
* Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations.
* Have reliable transportation
* Ability to work with limited supervision
Responsibility:
Responsibilities include: working independently to lead, guide, and/or coordinate others; operating within a defined budget. There is some opportunity to significantly impact the organizations environment.
Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 15% sitting, 20% walking, and 65% standing. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education:
Degree or certifications in Liberal Arts, Child Development, or Human Services
Language:
English Spanish preferred but not required
Certificates & Licenses:
Valid Driver's License & Evidence of Insurance
Clearances:
Live Scan; Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am to 1pm
