Description:
Under the general guidance of the Plant Manager, the Production Lead is responsible for effectively leading and coordinating the crew and processes in the cabinet and case goods Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) department. This role is critical in ensuring excellence across safety, quality, scrap, downtime, cost, and efficiency metrics. The successful candidate will foster consistency across shifts, promote employee development, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign and coordinate work for the department based on the supervisor’s direction, ensuring optimal productivity, cost efficiency, and quality standards.
- Lead, train, and develop employees to achieve individual and team performance goals.
- Conduct regular meetings to discuss schedules, expectations, plant performance, and address issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with other supervisors to maintain consistency across shifts and align with plant goals.
- Uphold company policies, promote safety, and enhance employee morale while maintaining housekeeping standards.
- Monitor and adjust department activities to meet daily production schedules and long-term objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Proven production supervisory and managerial experience.
- Proficient in computer skills, including relevant software applications.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of achieving results through others.
- Experience in training and development for employees at all levels.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
