What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mid-Level Maintenance Technician position at Corona Millworks Company?
This is the mid-level position title within this department. Employees at this level are expected to have developed confidence to conduct independent machine maintenance which would include corrective, preventative and predictive repairs.
Job Functions:
Perform general maintenance / clean-up duties on buildings and machines.- Perform routine building maintenance
- Assists in servicing and replacing minor issues with machinery under direct supervision
- Performs minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician
- Maintain machinery, equipment, and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, and/or oiling to ensure optimum working order. Surfaces using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Performs related duties as required.
Follow Plant specified job specification and task list.
- Daily, receives assigned work orders to complete on equipment.
- Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Ensures that a high level of safety is adhered to at all times on and off the production floor.
- Corrective Maintenance: Cover all the corrective maintenance in the shop. Excluding the works that require specialist support, in that case, be able to open tickets with the vendor (SCM, IMA, Wemhoner, OMGA, etc.) to receive phone support. Or in the last case, report the problem with maintenance supervisor to bring the specialist support to the shop.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance following Daily Schedules including SCM machinery (CNC, Beam Saw, Flexstores, Omal), COIMA Machinery, Polychem Machinery, Manual Machinery (Drill press, miter machine, chop saw, band saw, stop saw, etc.) Covering all the production machinery in the shop.
- Predictive Maintenance: Predictive futures failures on the machines, report any issues on the machines, develop solutions/actions to fix them. As result of the inspections made during the preventive maintenance.
- Reports: Work with a daily schedule to report the work orders made during the day. Use of FIIX Software.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Able to work days, including overtime
- PC competency, Word & Excel and Windows OS
- Mechanical expertise
- Electrical experience
Safety Responsibilities, but limited to:
- Perform Lock Out Tag Out
- Follow all Manufacturing Safety regulations/ADOSH guidelines
- Follow all common employee safety practices
Experience in the following areas:
- Repair of material handling equipment
- Predictive/ Preventative maintenance
- Woodworking, cabinet manufacturing fabrication
- Three year documented industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
- Walking in great frequency
- Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
