Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000

Position Overview:
The Account Manager – Behavioral Health plays a critical role in managing the overall client relationship and the performance of revenue cycle activities for assigned behavioral health practices. This position is responsible for driving client satisfaction through proactive communication, strategic insights, and operational excellence. The Account Manager will partner closely with client practices to understand goals, solve challenges, and help optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) across the revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the transition of new clients from implementation to long-term account management.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing exceptional service and support throughout the client lifecycle.
Educate clients on RCM solutions and tools to maximize service value and operational outcomes.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas of improvement; deliver strategic recommendations to enhance performance.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to address and resolve client concerns, inquiries, and service needs.
Facilitate and lead regular client meetings to discuss account status, performance trends, ROI, and industry best practices.
Provide clients with timely reports, dashboards, and data-driven insights on RCM health.
Supervise multidisciplinary team members supporting RCM tasks such as charge entry, payment posting, denials, AR follow-up, and appeals.
Establish and manage KPIs for client RCM performance and internal team productivity.
Identify trends and workflow inefficiencies, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
Consistently deliver high-touch, value-added service and maintain strong client relationships.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Maintain strict adherence to company policies and HIPAA regulations.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and client management skills with a proactive problem-solving mindset
Advanced knowledge of medical billing, coding, and the full revenue cycle process
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
Ability to analyze data and provide strategic business recommendations
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and practice management or RCM software systems
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue cycle management
Minimum 3 years of experience in client-facing or customer service roles
Experience working with behavioral health practices highly preferred
Comprehensive understanding of front-office and back-office medical operations and payer requirements
