What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Systems Technician position at Coroplast Tape Corporation?
Position Summary: Assists Maintenance Team Leader in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of industrial plant or warehouse by performing the following duties personally.
Shift Days and Hours: (10PM - 6AM SUN-FRI) This shift will run from Sunday at 10PM to Friday at 6AM. If overtime is needed the week will end on Saturday at 6AM instead of Friday at 6AM. Must be able to work on 1st or 2nd shift if needed for additional help or training.

MST1
- Perform Preventive Maintenance on all production machines as directed by supervisor.
- Follow TS16949 requirements.
- Support ISO14001 System, Policies and Procedures as assigned.
- Support 6S activities in Team.
- Operate Forklift as needed.
- Operate Scissor lift as needed.
- Demonstrate safe use of sharps.
- Maintain Housekeeping in maintenance areas.
- Follow safety program for facility and machinery using NEC and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain documents used in accurate control of equipment.
- Basic Mechanical Theory
- Maintain mechanical drawings for all equipment.
- Perform actions required for machine start-up and shutdowns.
- Assist in maintenance on all facility equipment.
- Maintain quantities and storage locations of all spare parts throughout the plant.
- Proactively search and provide OEM part numbers for rapid ordering of spares.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
MST2
- All levels from MST1
- Ability to read technical prints.
- Advanced Mechanical Theory.
- Advanced ability in performing troubleshooting skills.
- Basic Pneumatic and Hydraulic skills.
MST3
- All levels from MST1 and MST2
- Advanced Pneumatic and Hydraulic skills.
- Basic Electrical Theory
- Schematic Interpretation.
- Advanced ability to test/critique competency for Industrial Maintenance Apprentice.
Education/Experience:
5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
