Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring surfaces in commercial settings. It is helpful to have a understanding of floor care techniques, including buffing, carpet cleaning, and general custodial duties, but it is not required.
Duties
- Perform routine floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness.
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors to ensure high-quality results.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate techniques and solutions to remove stains and maintain appearance.
- Inspect floors regularly for damage or wear and report any issues to management.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental guidelines while performing duties.
- Help deliver supplies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in floor care or custodial services is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of environmental services and commercial cleaning standards is advantageous.
- Familiarity with buffing techniques and carpet cleaning methods is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled hours.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods while performing physical tasks.
- Must have a clean driving record.
