Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely manner while adhering to scheduled routes.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are utilized.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with moving and handling heavy loads safely.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and forklifts is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed.
