Primary Responsibilities:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing, top talent to meet the current and future staffing needs of the credit union. This role is integral in building a strong pipeline of qualified candidates, enhancing the organization’s employer brand, and contributing to the overall success and growth of the credit union. This position will also be responsible for developing and maintaining an onboarding and mentorship program, becoming a certified Member Advantage Coach and administrative duties including the ART and CRAFT program, online course design, and intranet site updates. Duties must be accomplished in compliance with federal and state laws and in accordance with the credit union’s policies and procedures and with constant attention to CAFCU’s creed, vision, mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Sourcing & Recruitment
· Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to attract diverse and qualified talent.
· Utilize various recruitment channels including job boards, social media, career fairs, networking events, and partnerships with educational institutions.
· Build and maintain a talent pipeline for key roles, proactively engaging with potential candidates.
2. Candidate Screening & Selection
· Review applications and resumes, conduct initial screenings, and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
· Facilitate a structured interview process, including coordinating interviews, preparing interview guides, and providing feedback to managers.
· Conduct reference checks, background screenings, and verify employment history.
3. Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
· Enhance the employer brand by creating engaging job postings, social media content, and recruitment materials.
· Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely communication and feedback throughout the hiring process.
· Act as an ambassador for the credit union, showcasing the company culture and benefits.
4. Collaboration with Hiring Managers
· Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and department goals.
· Advise and guide managers on best practices in recruitment, interviewing techniques, and candidate selection.
· Assist in drafting job descriptions and developing hiring criteria.
5. Recruitment Metrics & Reporting
· Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire.
· Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment activity, trends, and areas for improvement.
· Analyze data to refine sourcing strategies and improve recruitment processes.
6. Onboarding & Integration
· Collaborate with the HR team to streamline the onboarding process for new hires.
· Assist in creating and delivering onboarding materials and presentations.
· Become certified with Integrity programs and work with the VP Sales to incorporate the Member Advantage Program into Onboarding.
· Facilitate a mentor and leadership program.
· Monitor the progress of new hires and provide feedback to ensure successful integration into the company.
7. Administrative Duties
· Facilitate employees Annual Required Training (ART) and CRAFT courses.
· Online course design.
· Intranet and Procedure updates.
8. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting, preferably in financial services or a similar industry. Strong understanding of recruitment techniques, tools, and technologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring.
