Job Description
The Employee Benefits Account Manager will be responsible for providing prompt solutions and support to assigned clients' and their plan participants' on a day-to-day basis. This could entail anything from enrollment needs, service support, or renewal support. The preferred candidate would have a background in Employee Benefits Management or Health Insurance Customer Service, with a basic knowledge of health Insurance terminology & HR procedures.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers.
- Establish and build a strong client admin relationship through ongoing support.
- Provide insurance expertise to all clients and their members while acting as a knowledgeable resource for any offered products.
- Provide billing and ID information by phone or email correspondence to participants and client admins when needed.
- Utilize good judgment and possess the ability to handle highly confidential material and information.
- Work independently or as a member of a team on a variety of operational duties and projects throughout the year.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks on a daily basis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate or Bachelors College degree; or equivalent industry experience (Required)
- NJ Health & Life Producer License (Preferred)
- Knowledge of insurance policies and terminology (Preferred)
- 2 years of employee benefit insurance experience (Preferred)
- 2 years of customer service experience (Preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (Required)
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (Required)
- Patient and empathetic attitude (Required)
- Proficiency in utilizing phone system technology, Microsoft Office products, and web-based applications. (Required)
- Ambitious, goal-driven individual who shows excitement in problem solving and overcoming challenges on their own. (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
