Job Description:
The API Product Owner is a critical product role that will have accountability for developing the APIs that support our digital channels and integrations with our partners. Integrations include core processors, identity providers, fraud tools, and many more systems that bring together the best-in-class experience across our digital channels.
This role is expected to have a deep understanding of APIs, user story development, technical requirements, and agile/scrum processes.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will be accountable for capturing customer/business needs for APIs and translating those into technical requirements. This includes working with external partners to deeply understand their APIs.
Function as the product owner on a scrum team. You will be responsible for backlog management, user stories, leading backlog grooming/refinement, and participating in scrum ceremonies such as stand up, sprint planning, sprint demos, and sprint retros.
