Job Title: Day Porter Supervisor
Corporate Cleaning Group is seeking a Day Porter Supervisor in St Louis
The shift is from 8am - 2 pm
Pay is: from 18-20 per hour
Position Purpose: Oversee the day porters to ensure that the day porters are trained and supported in their daily work assignments; including regular face-to-face visits at each facility. This position requires the candidate to be able to travel to multiple locations within the same shift. This position reports to the Director of Operations
Major Job Functions:
- HR Responsibilities - Ensuring all procedures and policies are followed, interviewing and providing orientation/training to all new hires
- Train at each location as the backup for each shift when needed
- Responsible for making sure the staff is working effectively and efficiently
- Responsible to make sure the staff is following job cards and/or task checklists
- Set agenda for the week on any special needs or focus
- Perform inspections and do follow-up inspections
- Responsible for making sure the staff is working within budgeted hours
- Communicating any coverage changes to the customers
Other Job Duties:
- Monitoring time tracking and review of payroll hours
- Assigning special cleaning tasks when necessary to fill floater shifts
- Monitoring the condition of equipment and closets during site visits
- Providing a positive and supportive work environment by maintaining regular contact with all-day porters
- Ordering supplies for each location as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Superior attendance;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability required to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, management, and customers;
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and achieve effective time management;
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet established goals and objectives;
- Willing to fill in as a day porter when necessary;
- Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines; self-directed;
- Must be able to work as a member and leader of a team;
- Must be able to travel to multiple facilities within one shift using own transportation with valid driver's license
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Strong customer service attitude.
- Ability to train employees.
