What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering/Cafe Prep Worker position at Corporate Dining Concepts?
Do you like your nights and weekends off!! The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday!
Main Focus of Position is as follows:
- Setting up rooms for caterings
- facilitate and execute caterings from start to finish
- break down the room with the catering equipment etc
- cleaning and putting away the catering equipment and materials
- multitask
- maintaining catering equipment
- food prep (including but not limited to pastries, desserts, sandwiches, etc)
- inventory
- cross train in the kitchen during service hours as needed
Utility / Food Prep & Cashier: The full-time position of Utility / Food Prep is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, light food preparation, general cleaning/sanitation procedures, and other duties that may be assigned by the Sous Chef and/or Chef Manager.
Cash handling, assisting with catering execution, POS system operation (cash register), etc.
Additional: All positions are required to wear proper uniform which may include a chef's coat, black pants, black non-slip shoes, and company provided hat and name tag. All positions should be taken as a customer service role as well, as all employees are expected to answer customer questions. Ideal candidates for all roles should be able to lift at least 40 lbs. The ideal candidate must maintain a professional appearance, language, and demeanor at all time as they will be working in close proximity with the corporate clientele. The position includes food preparation and the candidate must be familiar with proper food handling and food storage procedures.
Must be available Monday through Friday roughly 6:00am-3:00pm

- Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner when dealing with customers
- 2 years of previous foodservice or restaurant experience as a cook required
- Maintains professional appearance at all times, clean and well groomed as per standards
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work as part of a TEAM
- Professional communication skills -- verbal and written
- Paying attention to details and operating with high efficiency
- Have reliable transportation to and from the work location
- Able to stand for the entire shift
- Able and willing to lift up to 45lbs (as needed)
- ServSafe certification or culinary school education a bonus!
