The Director of Healthcare Sales is a salary exempt position reporting to the Chief Sales Officer and serves as a member of the Corporate Environments (CE) leadership team with overall accountability for the healthcare division of the CE Business. This position has supervisory responsibilities over sales representatives and account managers. Additional responsibilities include maintaining oversight with key customers and other industry influencers that will help further the interest of the business to ensure that our products and services support the brand promise and provide a differentiated advantage.
The Director of Healthcare Sales is actively involved in developing strategies including individual customers, bids and target accounts to secure business and help our clients accomplish their objectives. The individual in this role develops plans based on goals for sales volume, gross profit, and resource needs and has direct responsibility for financial performance relative to the budget. The Director is expected to mentor and coach team members, serve as the key liaison with manufacturers, clients and design firms, as well as provide guidance to manage the forecasting / projections for government client activity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for the healthcare market vertical to deliver profitable growth and increase market share.
- Actively worked with key contracts such as Vizient, Premier, and other healthcare based Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) to secure healthcare business.
- Recruit / coach / mentor members of the Sales team; support team and professional development.
- Manage sales KPI’s including goals around business development, forecasting, bookings, backlog, and billings.
- Ensure accurate use of CRM to manage lead generation, opportunities pipeline, resource forecasting and booking conversions.
- Manage departmental budget and contribute to the Company’s overall profitability.
- Support the use of key manufacturer partners to ensure the sales team is guiding solutions within CE portfolio of aligned partnerships.
- Actively network with A&D, CRE, and End-User based communities to support active opportunities and ensure growth within the healthcare market.
- Develop account strategies, measurable long-term plans to grow these accounts, including an understanding of client / market factors and negotiation of contracts.
- Provide oversight and strategy development to include RFP’s, pricing the proposed solution / service within opportunities and assist with client presentations.
- Actively lead and participate in weekly sales team meeting as a forum to share information and promote engagement.
- Attending industry functions to enhance knowledge as well as identify trends and healthcare market opportunities.
- Facilitate training for Sales team with help from manufacturers, industry experts and professional organizations.
