Job Overview
As the Event Décor Designer , you will be responsible for developing and executing stunning event aesthetics , from concept creation to final production . You'll collaborate closely with sales and production teams to bring bold, innovative ideas to life—while also building and leading a top-tier design team to ensure flawless execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow the Event Design Division – Build and scale the décor area focused on event aesthetics and visual storytelling.
- Conceptualize & Design Event Looks – Develop creative concepts, mood boards, renderings, and 3D event designs using digital tools.
- Price & Design Creative Concepts – Strategically develop event designs that are not only visually stunning but also align with budgets and profitability goals.
- Execute Event Setups – Oversee the transformation of concepts into reality, ensuring top-tier execution on event days.
- Leverage Design Software – Utilize platforms such as Adobe Suite, CAD, SketchUp, Canva , or similar tools to craft and present event concepts.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with sales, production, and operations to align designs with client expectations, budget, and logistics.
- Build & Manage a Team – Recruit, train, and lead a team of event designers and decorators.
- Maintain Efficiency & Quality – Balance creativity with speed, ensuring quick turnarounds without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Oversee Vendor & Inventory Management – Source, procure, and manage event décor, rentals, and materials for installations.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in event design, interior design, scenic design, or visual merchandising
Strong portfolio showcasing event styling, décor, and conceptual renderings
Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, SketchUp, Canva, or similar)
Exceptional organizational and project management skills —able to handle multiple events and deadlines
Ability to think creatively while working within budget and logistical constraints
Strong leadership and team-building skills
High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Experience in event pricing, budgeting, and cost analysis to develop profitable event designs
Experience in event setup, logistics, and execution is a plus
