Warehouse Delivery Specialist

Scope:

Warehouse Driver/Technician reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and will provide on-call operational support to the company’s operational needs to include: delivery of equipment, load/unloading trucks and vehicles and general warehouse support.

This is a part-time, on-call position scheduled according to business demands. Warehouse hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm and with after hours and weekend work required. Over-time is paid after 40 hours worked each week.

Essential Job Functions:

• Safe operation of forklift and chain hoist for stacking/unstacking inventory
• Properly handle delivery manifest and obtain customer signatures as needed
• Deliver assigned job orders to clients in a safe and courteous manner.
• Safely load/unload trucks and vehicles using proper tie-down/load strapping methods
• Safely, accurately and efficiently pull and scan assigned job order(s) utilizing inventory software
• Prepare assigned job order(s) for vehicle/truck loading
• Safely, accurately and efficiently return scan equipment into inventory software
• Assist Warehouse Supervisor in special projects, ie. Inventory, inventory relocation/organization, shop cleaning
• Assist with minor repairs/painting of equipment cases

Competencies:

• Louisiana Class D License - Required
• Ability to operate a fork lift - Required
• Proficient in F.L.E.X. inventory control software preferred but not required
• Proficient in MS Office/Windows/MAC OS/Google Drive
• Organized

Education and Experience:

1-2 Years Warehouse Experience Preferred but not required

High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time; reach for tools and objects with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull wheeled heavy loads. The employee must be able to see up close and at a distance, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception, and be able to look at, read, and use a computer for extended periods of time. The employee must be able to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse space with exposure to ambient relative temperatures and humidity.
