We are currently seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented Accounts Payable Associate. It is Micro Center’s core promise to take care of our associates and customers which has led to our success over the last 40 years!
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work a daily report to resolve discrepancies to schedule invoices for payment
- Issue shortage documents to vendors and perform POD research for disputes
- Apply credits, vendor refund checks, and exchanges with proper authorization
- Perform daily, weekly, and period-end check runs
- Work inventory credit card transactions using an exception process
- Respond to emails and phone calls from vendors
- Digitally submit, verify, and file paperwork
- Cover work for absent team members
- Complete daily production reports
- Cover mail duty: balance and scan morning reports, stuff envelopes with vendor checks
- Adhere to all area processes and manage the workload as other responsibilities are added
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school education or equivalent; preferably some college
- Exposure to accounts payable processing
- Ability to work independently and maintain focus throughout the workday
- Willingness to support team members and area goals
- Ability to communicate with other team members and the Accounts Payable Manager
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Strong organization skills and ability to multitask
- Prioritize work according to deadlines
