Position Summary

Flight Watch responsibilities are to search the onboarding plane safe and in compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by the TSA & Port Authority. A Report must be completed after tour.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Have basic aptitudes and physical abilities including color perception, visual and aural acuity, physical coordination, and motor skills to follow proper TSA procedures

• Have the ability to read, speak, and write English well enough to carry out written and oral instructions regarding the proper performance of screening duties.
• Read English language identification media, credentials, documents, air waybills, and labels on items normally encountered in the screening process;
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Prevent damage or injury by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; deter trespassers.
• Identify visitors and ask for appropriate documentation
• Use radios and/or cell phones to stay in contact with Security personnel
• Operate screening machinery including X-ray machines, magnetometers and wands.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including all shifts, weekends and holiday’s
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
• Must be able to follow detailed procedures
• Must have strong Customer Service skills
• Strong surveillance skills
• Must be dependable
• Must project a professional image and maintain CLPA uniform standards
• Strong integrity, ethics and emotional control

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to report to work on time in all types of weather
• Must be able to work outside for extended periods of time in all types of weather, including rain, snow, extreme cold and extreme heat.
• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Able to climb multiple flights of stairs

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• 18 years of age
• Security Guard license (or be willing to obtain)
• Have the legal right to work in the United States
• Driver’s License (if contractually required)
• State Photo Identification
• Successful completion pre-employment screening requirements
• Fireguard license (if contractually required)
• Verifiable Security Experience ( between 1 year to 3 years depending on contract)
• Previous employment verification

• NYS drivers license or Identification card,Social security card (not laminated),US passport, Naturalization certificate or US birth certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
