Inventory Clerk (1st Shift)
Summary of Job
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining the inventory accuracy and integrity of the Distribution center and Azar warehouse. The basis responsibilities include scheduled and programing cycle counts for all inventory locations Researches inventory discrepancies and must have the ability to reconcile them in a timely manner and update the inventory based on results of research. Provides support and audits the receiving, pick, pack, replenishment, and shipping activities using specifies processes and procedures when required. Performs system transactions as needed; specifically, inventory adjustments, work order adjustments, and transfers. The Inventory Clerk must monitor, control inventory integrity and maintain a well-organized and clean warehouse. This would include maintaining product identification and locations, reporting and documenting inventory discrepancies, missing products, and handling damaged products per company/vendor agreements. Perform monthly physical inventory warehouse to comply with month-end activities and overtime when required.

- Accurate data entry, excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to operate RF terminals
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs as part of job function.
- Must have a flexible work schedule and be willing to travel between warehouses.
- Complies and enforces food quality and food safety.
- Complies and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Education and Qualifications
- § High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- § Minimum of 3-year experience with cycle counting/inventory/warehousing.
- § Must be certified to operate forklift.
- § Strong understanding of inventory control with a focus on cycle counting.
- § Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Physical Requirements

Core Competencies
- Processes inventory adjustments and inventory transfers through the BAAN system.
- Generating Cycle Counts and distributing work between operators for all locations including daily cycle count for inbound materials of the previous work day.
- Verifying, correcting, and releasing cycle count orders in a timely manner according to the CC schedule.
- Record keeping of the Cycle Count Information.
- Performs cycle counts daily, audits of inventory transactions, and reconciliation of inventory levels.
- Document damaged product and notify appropriate people.
- Conduct audits on receiving, picking, packing, and replenishment orders.
- Perform a physical inventory of the warehouse.
- Track products in the warehouse using RF terminals.
- Work closely and effectively with others in a way that promotes teamwork.
- Maintain a neat, clean and orderly warehouse floor.
- Respond to questions from co-workers concerning product location and status, history report that leads locate “lost” pallets, and help in the detection of inappropriate activities.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies timely and reconcile counts to system.
- Complies and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Adequately carries out all activities related to security and quality of the finished product.
- Complies and enforces food quality.
- Coordinates with the Warehouse and Production departments, operators, and other departments to determine the priorities of research and provide results.
- Work closely with all production personnel/warehouse personnel to help expedite materials from both warehouses.
- Meet and enforce best practices for manufacturing (5S's).
- Creates excel and word reports to support job function.
