Position Description
The Senior Corporate Accountant is the principal accountant in charge of the accounting of the corporate entities and their respective balance sheets. Develops and prepares standard and non-standard accounting reports/statements as required by the business. Responsible for consolidation reporting of RCH and other ownership entities.
The pay range for this position is $100k-115k based upon factors including but not limited to related experience and time in the industry.
Essential Functions
GENERAL ACCOUNTING
- Analyzes and maintains general ledger accounts.
- Prepares and posts journal entries.
- Prepares monthly accruals.
- Initiates and posts wires and account transfers.
- Funds, records, and reconciles payroll account entries.
- Manages/fund Capital Calls/Distributions and prepares journal entries to record.
- Maintains partner capital and loan balances.
RECONCILED ACCOUNT REVIEW
- Reviews reconciled bank and intercompany accounts.
REPORTING
- Prepares and reviews monthly/quarterly reporting, including consolidation for RCH.
CONTROLLER ASSISTANCE
- Assists Controller with cash management duties between various entities.
OTHER DUTIES
- Assists in other areas of corporate accounting and special projects as required.
Work Experience Requirement:
- Advanced knowledge of general accounting principles and processed required.
- Analytical background with detail-oriented mindset required.
- Ability to perform quality assurance reviews required.
- Knowledge of accounting software system Yardi or MRI is required.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time to meet deadlines preferred.
Education Requirements and/or Years of Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting and/or real estate accounting required.
- Note: 10 years of relative work experience can offset minimum educational requirements.
- CPA preferred.
