We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the EHS function at our Milwaukee facility.
As the EHS Manager, you will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS process across our manufacturing facilities. You will manage all aspects of EHS, ensuring compliance with safety policies, guidelines, and regulations while directly influencing the development of a safe, incident-free workplace. You will lead the process for risk management, training, and compliance, fostering a culture of safety across all locations and shifts.
Primary job duties will include:
- Lead and manage the EHS process across the facility, ensuring adherence to company safety standards and all regulatory requirements
- Develop, implement, and update EHS procedures, policies, and guidelines in collaboration with leadership to promote a safe working environment
- Conduct and oversee regular EHS inspections and audits, addressing potential risks promptly
- Partner with management and employees to implement corrective actions for any unsafe conditions or practices, leading the way in risk mitigation
- Serve as the main point of contact for third parties, including local regulatory bodies, neighboring businesses, and councils, regarding all EHS-related matters
- Lead investigations of workplace incidents, manage Workers’ Compensation claims, coordinate case management, and drive the development and implementation of corrective actions
- Prepare and present comprehensive EHS reports
- Oversee and deliver ongoing EHS training to ensure all employees are equipped with the knowledge to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- Actively engage in operational meetings and contribute to committees related to EHS improvements and standards
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant EHS management experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field preferred or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to manage EHS processes and influence positive change
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
