The Opportunity
CRS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President / Vice President which offers an exciting opportunity for growth and leadership. In this position, you’ll work closely with top leadership executives at leading investment firms and global corporations, taking on both strategic advisory and project-driven responsibilities. Responsibilities
Transaction Due Diligence, M&A Services, and Special Projects
- Project manage full transaction processes within the private equity context and/or add-on acquisitions for stand-alone commercial entities, provide guidance and analysis relative to improvement on programs and any considerations pre-and post-closing.
- Coordinate diligence campaigns by collecting, analyzing, and managing risk management, insurance, and contractual data (customer, vendor, Purchase Agreement, and Disclosure Schedules), assessing existing risk finance programs, and identifying coverage deficiencies.
- Leverage internal and external resources effectively, lead and manage cross-functional project teams, and deliver high-quality, clear and concise detailed due diligence reports.
- Identify client needs and align project deliverables with expectations, ensuring exceptional outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior executives, investment professionals, and client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with client finance, legal, and HR teams to resolve data gaps and clarify risk elements impacting transaction value.
- Provide expert guidance and analysis on historical insurance policies, potential cost implications, and budgetary guidance for post-close risk management practices and programs.
- Work with actuarial partners to assess reserve adequacy and support claims evaluation.
- Ensure brokerage partners receive, understand, and guide the markets on all relevant diligence data to finalize budgets and secure transactional risk finance products.
- Manage the binding, issuance, and compliance of all closing certificates, binders, and endorsements.
Annual Stewardship Engagements
- Analyze operational exposures and implement strategic insurance renewals to optimize cost, coverage, and compliance.
- Direct deliverables across key relationships, including brokers, underwriters, adjusters, and legal advisors.
- Negotiate pricing, structure, and wording for policies and agreements, delivering cost-benefit analyses for program alternatives.
- Prepare loss data analysis and reserve accruals, collaborating with client finance and safety teams.
- Advise clients on settlement strategies and cutting-edge risk management trends, ensuring effective claims resolution and innovative program structures.
- Act as a key client advocate, proactively managing all aspects of the account to ensure alignment with client goals and expectations.
- Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of growth and development while maintaining a forward-thinking approach to client relationships and deliverables.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management/Insurance, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in corporate risk management or a retail brokerage, with exposure to multi-line, global platforms.
- Detail- and action-oriented, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills, capable of advising non-technical senior audiences.
- Proven project manager, skilled in navigating complex initiatives from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects in a matrixed reporting environment.
- Experience with M&A, private equity, and insurance due diligence is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications (ARM, CPCU, CRM, FRM, RF) are preferred.
- Master’s degree and/or JD is a plus.
- Salesforce and Box experience is a bonus.
