OVERVIEW :
The Manager of Corporate FP&A is responsible for developing the Companys consolidated earnings forecast, and communicating earnings expectations to the Finance leadership group. In addition, the Manager is responsible for creating insightful financial presentations for the Board of Directors and C-Suite executives. This positions requires extensive experience with financial statements, the ability to develop financial recommendations supported by analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to quickly re-prioritize work based on evolving business needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Earnings Forecast :
Oversee the weekly consolidated earnings forecast
Partner with business areas to capture earnings forecast trends, risks, and opportunities
Become an expert in the underlying details of the income statement
Identify and explain key drivers of P&L variances versus budget and last year
Effectively communicate the details of the earnings forecast to C-Suite executives
Analyze and proactively address forecast accuracy issues
Financial Reporting :
Lead efforts to develop Board and C-Suite financial presentations including : monthly and quarterly results, earnings forecasts, external guidance, annual budgets, etc.
Be an expert at clearly communicating a message to a C-Suite audience
Utilize external investor analysis to help inform messaging on financial performance and investment strategies
Collaborate with business areas to incorporate relevant information into presentations
Create insightful executive-level PowerPoint presentations
Financial Analysis :
Proactively analyze the P&L to search for opportunities to improve earnings
Analyze business financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to executive team
Coaching and Developing
Provide guidance to direct reports and strategically delegate work based on capacity and nature of work
Provide regular feedback to direct reports
Promote cross functional training opportunities and professional development
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related business field
7 - 10 years of total experience with 3 5 years of experience in areas such as Financial Planning, Corporate Finance, or Investor Relations
Experience in retail, consumer products, apparel, or other customer-focused industries a plus
Role may require mentorship and / or direct supervision of Financial Analysts or Rotational Program Associates
Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment
Requires focus amid rapidly shifting priorities, attention to detail, independent problem solving and adherence to tight deadlines when required
