This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality education for all students by overseeing curriculum development, teacher training, and assessment practices. This individual will work closely with educators and campus and District administrators to align TEKS based curriculum and effective instructional practices to meet District goals. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS :
Curriculum Development and Implementation
Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the District curriculum that is aligned to State standards and proven best practice.Instructional Leadership
Provides guidance and support to District Content Specialists and campus leadership teams on effective instructional strategies, best practices, and the use of technology in the classroom fostering a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learningProfessional Development
Identify continuous improvement trends, develop engaging job embedded professional development training, and incorporate a feedback loop to assist campus leadership teams in providing implementation supportStay informed on PK-12 pedagogy, curriculum standards, an assessment practices to tailor professional development designed to improve student outcomesAssessment and Evaluation
Collaborate with Content Specialists and other District departments to develop and implement assessment systems that monitor student progress, evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum and instruction, and include student, teacher, and campus feedbackAnalyze data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvementCollaborate and Communication
Frequent collaboration and communication with teachers, administrators, and District stakeholders to ensure the Teaching and Learning department is communicating information effectively, addressing questions and concerns, and promoting a culture of continuous improvementOther Duties as Assigned
