QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Certification Required :
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Two years of Security Guard experience or related field preferred.

Must be a U.S. CitizenMust be of good moral characterMust be able to read, write, and speak the English language proficientlyMust not be on probation for any criminal offense above the grade Class C misdemeanor; not have been convicted of a Class A misdemeanor offense within the last 12 months; not have been convicted of a Class B misdemeanor within the last six months; not have been convicted of the offense of driving while intoxicated or driving under the influence of drugs within the last 24 months; not have been convicted at anytime of a felony offenseMust possess a valid Texas Operator's or Class C driver's license and be insurable by the DistrictMust be in good physical and mental conditionSpecial Knowledge / Skills :
Must be able to deal effectively and professionally with personnel of other law enforcement agencies, the judiciary, CCISD personnel and citizens of the communityPossess good report writing skills and the ability to interview witnessesKnowledge and use of two-way radio communicationsPossess knowledge and use of Computers and various softwareExperience Required :
One-year experience in the security field, school volunteer in hall monitoring, or school-related experience in other areasFUNCTION :
Provide security and monitoring of all Corpus Christi Independent School District (District) students, district personnel and the general public while on CCISD property or property under the control of the District. This security monitoring is extended to include all property owned, used or under the control of the District. Under the supervision of the District Police Officer, they are responsible for promptly reporting incidents and security concerns involving students, property, and the general public that occur on district properties to School District Police Officers or campus administrators.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS :
Assigned to school campus sites and properties of the Corpus Christi Independent School District as directed by the supervisorResponds to all job-related calls for assistance from school administrators, faculty, staff or superior officerAssists school district police officer and campus administrators in conducting investigations or disturbances that may occur on CCISD property or jurisdictionPrepares and submits all required reports in a timely mannerAssists campus administrators in enforcing all applicable rules, regulations, and policies of the Corpus Christi Independent School DistrictProperly cares for all property and equipment assigned or entrusted to themPerforms all job-related duties as assigned by a campus administrator or campus officerPerforms duties indoors and outdoors, at night and on weekends and holidays, under hazardous conditionsWorking Conditions :
