Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Education Teacher located at Zavala Elementary. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities. Daily tasks include teaching, assessing student progress, and collaborating with parents, teachers, and support staff. The teacher will also focus on fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring students' educational and emotional needs are met.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Disabilities and Special Education
- Experience and expertise in Teaching at the Elementary School level
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching and supporting students with special needs
