Project Safety Consultant
Location: Linden, NJ
Job Description: Be part of a team you can take pride in! As a Corr Safety consultant you will gain a vast rage of experience in several different industries all while having the support of a group of highly qualified safety professionals. Primary industries include the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation and New Construction. Roles commonly consist of; Site Safety Lead for a site owner or contractor, Field Safety Representative, or Safety technician. Candidates must have enough education or experience to be well rounded to adapt to safety services and assignments our clients demand. Responsibilities:
Develop a trusting working relationship with the client.
Identify areas of improvement of the safety program through a gap analysis.
Read, review and effectively execute a client’s Health and Safety Program.
Develop and conduct Safety Orientations and Training
Investigate specific incidents and identify root causes and corrective actions.
Provide risk assessments and training to reduce risk in various workplaces.
Conduct Audits, identify safety hazards, effectively record and communicate observation.
Present safety information to employees and management.
Develop site specific Health and Safety Programs as well as emergency action plans.
Review accident reports and document accidents using the proper forms and protocols, inspect facilities.
Conduct personal and atmospheric air sampling.
Develop detailed pre-job Job Hazard Assessments
Install or oversee the installation of safety devices and protective equipment.
Develop client relationships and look for new business opportunities.
Requirements:
Current TWIC card is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational, Health and Safety or related field preferred.
2-5 years' field safety experience in heavy industrial. Petrochemical facilities preferable
Available for travel schedule and extended work hours for special projects, including weekends
Excellent communication skills including public speaking
Proficiency with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Certifications are a plus: CSP, CHST, OSHA 500, 510, and/or 511

Frequent walking, including on uneven surfaces
