Corrales Teas And Chocolates in Corrales, NM is looking for one part time one day a week (Mondays) other days when needed cashier/host/shop sales to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 3923 Corrales Rd Suite B. Our ideal candidate is attentive, extra friendly, motivated, and reliable.
Responsibilities
Operating a cash register at the store's checkout area, accurately processing customer payments (cash, credit, debit), issuing receipts, providing basic customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive checkout experience while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Clover experience a plus.
Key responsibilities include:
- Customer interaction: Greeting customers, making eye contact, and providing friendly service.
- Transaction processing: Scanning items, accurately entering prices, accepting payments, and providing change.
- Cash handling: Balancing cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift, accurately counting money, and resolving discrepancies.
- Payment methods: Processing credit cards, debit cards, cash, and other accepted payment forms.
- Customer assistance: Answering basic questions about products, directing customers to relevant departments, and assisting with returns.
- Maintaining cleanliness: Keeping the checkout area clean and organized, including removing debris and wiping down surfaces.
- Following policies: Adhering to store policies regarding returns, discounts, and promotions.
- Inventory management: May assist with stocking shelves or checking inventory levels as needed.
Required skills:
- Basic math skills: Accurate counting of cash and ability to calculate change quickly
- Customer service skills: Positive attitude, ability to interact with customers effectively, and resolve minor issues
- Attention to detail: Ensuring accurate transactions and maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Ability to work under pressure: Handling busy checkout lines and maintaining efficiency during peak hours
