What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician position at Correct Equipment?
We are currently seeking a Shop/Field Technician to join our team. We provide technical equipment, installation, and services to municipal water and sewer utilities and their residential and commercial customers.
The position can be technically challenging. It is mostly indoors and frequently requires a certain level of physical strength. It would not fall under the definition of being a clean job.
Core duties and responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
· Troubleshoot and repair or replace Environment One sewer grinder pump systems.
· Inspect Environment One pump station installations.
· Prepare daily shipments
· Manage and maintain a clean shop
· Troubleshoot and service a variety of utility owned equipment including radio water meters, chlorinators, and instruments.
· Assist the Service Manager with dispatching calls when needed
· Provide quality customer service, answer questions, provided requested information.
· Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; study as provided.
· Supports other Field Service Technicians and Sales team throughout the company
· Must be available to be on call one weekend a month, though this usually does not require going to the jobsite but can be handled on the phone.
Compensation
The position pays $54,000 DOE. 401(K). Medical. Dental. Bonus incentives. Training will entail both shop time and field work.
Travel would be limited to Pacific NW, three to six nights per month
The Perfect Candidate
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma
· 1-2 years relevant work experience
· Be able to use a multimeter, ammeter, and megohmmeter.
· Have a clean driving record.
Required Abilities and Skills:
· Good verbal and written communications skills
· Able to multitask
· Capable of lifting 100 pounds
· Capable of working alone in the shop
· Able to drive a forklift safely. We will train as needed.
· Be able to work in close proximity to sewage. This job can be dirty.
