About the Role
We are seeking a Physician to join our team at Correctional Medicine Associates. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing professional medical direction, oversight, and direct patient care to inmates in our facility.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a variety of professional medical services to inmates, including administering examinations, diagnosing medical and other problems, prescribing medications, and providing treatment and follow-up care.
- Direct unit treatment operations, perform minor surgery, and participate in treatment team meetings to devise, review, and alter individual health plans for inmates.
- Maintain a good working relationship with facility staff, nursing staff, contract providers, and outside provider agencies.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited school of medicine and be licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced correctional environment.
