Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner who shares our passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional setting.
The successful applicant will provide advanced nursing services and patient care in the facility's medical program under the supervision of a facility physician.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including executing physician's orders, dispensing and administering medications, and performing examinations and treatments.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and healthcare needs.
- Record physical findings, formulate prognosis based on patient condition, and discuss cases with physicians and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans.
- Recommend drugs and other forms of treatment within the scope of licensure.
The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner will also:
- Monitor inmate/resident hospitalizations and ensure early release when appropriate.
- Verify equipment cleanliness through own efforts and supervision.
- Maintain good working relationships with facility staff, nursing staff, contract providers, and outside agencies.
- Utilize established corporate, facility, and correctional policies and procedures in making decisions.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited college or university's nursing program with a degree and current licensure and/or certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with training in family practice in the state of employment.
- One year of professional nursing experience required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
