Physician Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physician to join our healthcare team at CoreCivic. The successful applicant will provide high-quality medical care in an institutional setting, utilizing their expertise to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional medical services to inmates/residents, including administering examinations, diagnosing medical and other problems, prescribing medications, and providing treatment and follow-up care.
- Lead the medical program in collaboration with the Health Services Supervisor, monitoring and reviewing operations and standards of care delivered to inmates/residents.
- Maintain a good working relationship with facility staff, nursing staff, contract providers, and outside provider agencies.
- Utilize established corporate, facility, and correctional policies and procedures in making decisions, using sound independent judgment to meet responsibilities and perform duties.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
