What are the responsibilities and job description for the STAFF SERVICES ANALYST position at Correctional Training Facility?
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Staff Services Analyst is an entry first journey level analyst assisting in planning, developing, and coordination specialized projects and assignments regarding the hiring processes. Acts as the back-up to the Position Control Analyst. The Staff Services Analyst must have knowledge of the hiring and appointment process in accordance with California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) and the Department’s hire process. Screens applicants for employment and interprets and applies minimum qualifications.
Assists with the review of applicant’s qualifications and eligibility for lateral transfer. Assists and reviews and analyzes data and information received relative to salary determinations, alternate ranges, and hiring above minimum requests. Assists with reviewing employment documentation for the classification to endure candidates possess legal requirements for appointment (i.e. credentials, licensing, certificates).
This position is currently limited-term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
