What are the responsibilities and job description for the Virtual Estimator /Surveyor position at Corrigan Moving Systems?
Corrigan Moving Systems is looking for a Seasonal (March – July / August), Remote, Virtual Move Surveyor that is within 50 miles of our Rochester, NY location to complete virtual walk-throughs/surveys for Residential move customers.
Virtual Move Surveyor / Estimator Responsibilities:
- Complete a virtual (video) tour/walk-through of the customers location through a video call.
- Identify home access and home details needed for the move.
- Direct customer through virtual home tour and identify and record all items that need to be moved.
- Complete customer inventory using the recorded video walk through from virtual tour.
- Estimate how many moving boxes might be needed for the move.
- Share detailed notes regarding home details, services needed and completed inventory with internal team (other team members will handle the rest of the move from there).
- Corrigan Moving Systems may require you to come into the office for training or in-person meetings from time to time.
*This is NOT a sales position. These survey appointments are primarily for customers who have already booked a move with our company.
**Corrigan Moving Systems will provide webcam, headset, Laptop/iPad with required software needed for this role.
Virtual Move Surveyor / Estimator Qualifications:
- Internet connection with a minimum upload speed of 100mb.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented focus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience working in a remote setting preferred
- Self-motivated, friendly, positive, with a helpful demeanor.
- Solid computer skills with ability to learn and utilize technology and programs needed for the role.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am (EST) - 5pm (EST) or Tue-Sat 8am (EST) - 5pm (EST)
Salary: $19/hr. – Weekly pay bonus
