The primary function of the Petroleum Service Technician is to service existing fuel dispensers, POS systems and underground submersible systems. This is a full-time position reporting to the Petroleum Compliance and Service Manager.
Primary Duties:
- Troubleshoot and repair petroleum dispensing systems
- Provide technical support in the field
- Perform repairs and software upgraded on existing POS systems
- Perform service calls on an after-hours basis
- Understand and comply with all State and Federal regulations
- Proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
- Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents
- Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Able to handle high stress situations and a decision maker
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Able to lift 80 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds. Ability to climb a ladder
- Handle exposure to dust, fumes, heights and high noise levels
- Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Perform any duties as may be assigned
- Availability to be on-call 24/7
