Position: Technical QA Specialist

Location: Corinne, Utah (onsite)
Salary: $95,000 to $150,000 annually, plus benefits

This role is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
CPI is looking for a hands-on individual to join our team as a Site Construction Quality Assurance Lead. Our ideal candidate will be a resident of Utah and will be expected to successfully handle the following day-to-day tasks:
- Field QA Audit of Quality Control procedures of structures, to include structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry.
- Participate in Quality Review meetings.
- Participate in Safety BOS program.
- Identify, address, and document Quality Issues and facilitate resolution with the Client's direction and in accordance with CPI's established program.
- Review Constructors QA/QC plans for compliance with the Project Criteria and Audit performance for compliance.
- Proactively identify additional QA staffing resources and work with CPI Corporate Leadership to staff these needs.
- Manage the site CPI team resources.
- Review 90%/IFC drawing and specification packages for compliance with Client's standards.
- Construction audits of current projects to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
- Take detailed notes, careful measurements, and record data in accordance with CPI's established QA program.
- Write Quality Assurance documents and post on the Project Procore site to clearly document findings.
- Provide scheduling input as it relates to potential Quality Issues.
- Physical Requirements: this position requires the ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, lift and carry /-50lbs on occasion, using power tools for sample collection, as well as working at varying heights and in confined spaces.
- Working Environments: this position frequently requires work in industrial facilities, such as water/wastewater treatment plants - these facilities can be loud, hot, dirty, and stinky. Please DO NOT apply if spending hours in these environments is intolerable.
- NOTE: Commitment to a minimum 50-hour work week, with the potential for additional hours based on project needs. The extended work hours have been accounted for in the offered salary range, as this position is exempt from overtime compensation.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Required:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, EIT or PE registration, related structural or design coursework.
- Experience and/or familiarity with PROCORE and AutoDesk Cloud softwares.
- Familiar with IWS principles as they relate to Engineering/Design/Construction execution.
- Strong construction (civil, structural, mechanical, piping) expertise, including site safety.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Diligence, teamwork, strong organizational skills, integrity, and taking pride in your work.
- Ability to perform daily tasks described above.
Preferred:
- Corrosion knowledge and/or pulp/paper industry experience.
- Construction/industrial site safety knowledge.
