This role is essential for ensuring consistent HR practices across multiple sites, while also meeting the specific needs of each location in a manufacturing environment. The Regional HR Manager will play a key role in driving operational success and fostering a positive work culture across the plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement regional HR strategies aligned with corporate goals for three manufacturing plants. Provide guidance to plant management on HR issues, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters. Address and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Assist with talent acquisition efforts for hourly and salaried positions across the plants. Work with the recruiting team and hiring managers to create effective recruitment strategies and improve retention rates.
- Training & Development: Monitor employee training programs to ensure compliance, safety, and career development. Foster an environment that supports continuous learning and career growth.
- Performance Management: Guide plant managers in the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and corrective actions when necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and ensure effective communication between management and hourly team members.
- Compensation & Benefits: Collaborate with the HR team to oversee regional compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitive and equitable pay structures, and addressing benefits-related issues as needed.
- Health, Safety, and Wellness: Promote a culture of safety by supporting HR initiatives that ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment. Work closely with safety teams to address any concerns.
- HR Metrics & Reporting: Provide regular reports on HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, employee engagement, and compliance with HR programs and policies.
- Travel Requirements: This position will be based onsite in our New Haven, IN plant but frequent travel to Missouri, Pennsylvania and other locations as needed will be required for site visits, meetings, and ongoing HR support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment or multi-site operations.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and labor relations.
- Demonstrated experience with talent management, performance management, and employee relations.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-driven environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, (UKG and Workforce Management) MS Office Suite, and other HR tools.
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) across the three locations.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is required.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification is a strong plus.
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment is required.
