What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Associate Attorney position at Cors & Bassett, LLC?
Cors & Bassett, LLC is looking to add an associate attorney to its real estate practice group. Qualified applicants should have 2 to 5 years of general real estate practice experience, to include both the disposition and acquisition of commercial, industrial and residential real estate as well as representation of landlords and tenants in leasing matters. Experience in land use and zoning and Ohio title insurance agent licensure are pluses. If not a licensed title agent, then the willingness to prepare and successfully obtain a title insurance agent license in Ohio is required. In addition, applicants should have a working understanding of basic corporate principles and concepts. Experience with asset, stock and membership interest purchase and sale transactions is desired.
Applicants must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky or have the ability to waive in. Applicants must also possess excellent writing and research skills, the ability to negotiate and handle complex real estate transactions and a practical ability to solve problems. The successful applicant will be skilled in effectively and efficiently communicating with clients, counsel and third-party experts and governmental agencies.
