Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Supervisor will ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization’s inventory cycle.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Trainer for all Inventory Control staff to ensure all company process and procedures, daily/ week standard work tasks expectations and all safety policy and procedures are followed.
- Oversees the job assignments and activities of Inventory Control staff.
- Collaborates with warehouse management to provide performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Ensure milestones and goals are met.
- Ensure adherence to approved budget.
- Ensure quarterly and annual Physical Inventory Audits are conducted and compliant.
- Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
- Lead all efforts to increasing in-house inventory accuracy and control with Operations, RMA and Sales efforts.
- Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
- Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
- Communicates with Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
- Performs and assists with general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse.
- Operates warehouse equipment as needed (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, ect)
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in all reporting programs: Excel, Power BI and Microsoft programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
- At least five years of experience in Inventory management and Operations required.
- At least three years of supervisory experience with more than five direct reports.
